- Geometry and Symmetry in Mechanics is the subject of European Research Network (MASIE), and this small workshop will enable about 15 of the members of this network to meet in an informal setting, together with one or two researchers from outside Europe.
- The meeting will allow time for people who are already collaborating on their research to continue to do so, and hopefully will provide the impetus for new collaborations to start. There will (probably) be a few informal seminars which will be arranged at the time depending on who wants to hear what from whom! The tranquil setting and healthy mountain air of Peyresq is ideal for this sort of meeting.
